Elmwood Lofts is a 66-unit historic property in Columbia’s Elmwood Park neighborhood located one mile from downtown and one mile from the BullStreet District and revitalized Finlay Park. It was previously South Carolina’s first junior high school and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The property was converted to apartments in 2000 under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program, which preserves 27 of the 66 units as affordable senior housing. Tucker co-led this investment through Sweetbay Capital.
