Tucker founded Tack Capital after a decade across institutional finance, private equity, startup operations, and real estate. He started his career at J.P. Morgan, advising on multi-billion-dollar M&A, debt, and equity transactions. He then moved to Gryphon Investors, a private equity firm with $9 billion in assets, where he closed five investments totaling $625 million. He later led strategic initiatives at Faire, a $12 billion venture-backed company, before co-founding Sweetbay Capital, where he co-led six multifamily investments. He now applies that institutional discipline to sub-institutional multifamily where there are clear levers to add value.

Zach is Tack's first hire and a Richmond native. He came to Tack from Building Equity Management in New York, where he spent two years in multifamily asset management across a portfolio of roughly 150 properties.

He holds a degree in economics from Bucknell and completed the A.CRE Accelerator.

Outside of Tack, he owns and manages a duplex in Richmond, hands-on experience that mirrors how Tack approaches its own assets.
